Hypixel Housing, or just Housing is a 2020 gamemode on the Hypixel Network that allows players to create their own experience on Hypixel, such as a parkour or minigame.
History
Housing was initially released in public beta around August 20th, 2015 with records of a closed beta dating back to August 17th, 2015.[1] After its release, Housing was largely used for its intended purpose of allowing for players to create traditional houses and share them with others. There were plans to expand the mode with house parties and guild fortresses, but nothing has yet to come of these plans.[2]
Players began using Housing to create parkour courses soon after its release, later developing into parkours with various levels contained in a box or hallway shape. Roleplay houses were also popular around this time.
