<br>Survivors of the catastrophic floods in Texas said they are now plagued with looters who are casing properties in a cruel attempt to take advantage of the devastation.<br><br>Homeowners like Kyle Hammock from Kerrville told Daily Mail he has been on alert after he noticed strangers 'snooping' around his riverfront home.<br><br>On Tuesday, Hammock was still [https://www.news24.com/news24/search?query=shoveling%20mud shoveling mud] that washed up from the floods which have killed more than 110 people and have left at least 160 missing. <br><br>He said that he noticed tire tracks in the layer of dust left by the storms over July 4 that ravaged the Hill Country.<br><br>‘They drove in and they're tried to cut across the yard and they were getting stuck so there's these giant ruts,' he said about the looters. <br><br>Hammock added that he fears potential looters are mixing themselves in with well-meaning strangers.<br><br>‘There's just been a handful of people that are up to no good, just checking stuff out,' Hammock said.
